This note is to all coaches and parents in the minor league and girls softball where we will have house umpires.
Now that our new season is upon us and the heat of battle on the playing field is about to begin it is a good time to remember just who is playing the game and that we want to make this an enjoyable experience for all.
Our umpires are all high school and college kids who have played baseball at many levels and are now here to make sure the game is played fairly by all. They will use their best judgment when making a call however as the baseball gods will have it, the calls will not always be the correct call. Please understand that some calls will go against you and other will go for you but in the end it all evens out.
This year the umpires have been instructed that if any coaches or parents argue calls with the umpires they are to issue a warning to both teams. If there are further instances the umpires have been instructed to avoid conflicts and end the game. It is then up to the coaches if they want to continue without an umpire
